Lankan Cricket Coach in UK faces deportation for not making enough money

(UTV|COLOMBO) – A Sri Lankan Cricket Coach at Worcester in England, who teaches children and disabled people, is facing deportation to Sri Lanka because he doesn’t earn enough money, the BBC reported.

University of Worcester Graduate Hemaka Patharinage needs to earn Euros 30,000 a year to qualify for a Visa.

The 27-year-old had appealed to the Home Office to stay on human rights grounds. However, his appeal has been rejected and he’s been given twenty-days to leave the country.
