President chairs Buddhist Advisory Committee meeting

(UTV|COLOMBO) – President Maithripala Sirisena chaired the meeting of the Buddhist Advisory council met at the President’s office on Tuesday (05).

Discussions were made regarding the steps to be taken on behalf of the progress of the Buddhist dispensation.

Solosmasthanadipathi of Polonnaruwa Senior Anu Nayaka of Asgiri Chapter Ven.Panditha Vendaruwe Upali Nayaka Thero, Chief Registrar of Asgiri Chapter Senior lecturer of the Buddhist University of Anuradhapura Ven. Anamaduwe Dhammadassi Thero, Shastrapathi Rajakeeya Panditha Ven. Mahalle Dharmakeerthi Sri Sumangala Thero, Shastrpathi Venerable Narampanawe Ananda Nayaka Thero, and Mahasangha and Commissioner General on Buddhist Affairs Chandra-Prema Gamage and other officers were present in this event.
