(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Colombo Excise Unit was able to discover close to 600 bottles of liquor without license from a resort located in Matara-Weligama-Mirissa area.
One suspect was arrested during the raid and will be produced before the court together with the stock of liquor.
Recently another 200 bottles of liquor without liquor license was taken into custody along with one suspect from another resort in Weligama area.
The suspect was produced before Matara Magistrate’s Court and a fine of Rs. 90,000 was imposed, Colombo Excise Unit stated.
