Indian Chief of the Army Staff meets Commander of the Navy

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) of the Indian Army General Bipin Rawat and the delegation who are on an official visit to Sri Lanka, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe at the Naval Headquarters in Colombo on Monday (14).

Upon the arrival, he was accorded a Guard of Honour in compliance with naval traditions and warmly received by Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe at the Naval Headquarters. They held cordial discussions on matters of mutual interests and mementos were exchanged symbolizing the goodwill of the two friendly forces.

The Defence Attaché of Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka Captain Asok Rao and Senior Officers of Naval Headquarters also attended this occasion.
