(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Protests were held at several areas today as well, demanding the cancellation of the Malabe Private Medical School.
A mass rally organized by IUSF and Medical Faculty Students Activists Committee was being held in Nugegoda this evening.
University students, political party representatives, civil organization representatives and trade union representatives were participating in the rally.
Heavy traffic is reported on High level road due to the protest march organized by the demonstrators.
IUSF convener Lahiru Weerasekera who was released on bail today is also participating in the rally.
Earlier, he was remanded on the allegation of breaching bail conditions.
