SLFP decides to ask Prime Minister to resign before No-Confidence Motion

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Parliamentary Group of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) on Monday (02) unanimously decided to request Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe to resign from the Premiership before the No-Confidence Motion, which is to be taken up on Wednesday (04).

The decision was taken after the SLFP Parliamentarians met with President Maithripala Sirisena, Monday evening, for crucial talks. At the talks it was decided that the SLFP will request the Prime Minister to step down.

The decision of the SLFP Parliamentary Group has been conveyed to President Maithripala Sirisena, and it will also be conveyed to Prime Minister Wickremesinghe by the Group.
