UNHRC High Commissioner to deliver special statement on Sri Lanka

(UTV|COLOMBO) – United Nations (UN) High Commissioner for Human Rights Prince Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein is due to deliver a special statement on Sri Lanka today (21), at the 37th Session of the UN Human Rights Council.

The High Commissioner for Human Rights, as requested by the Human Rights Council in Resolution 34/1 of 23rd March 2017, will accordingly present a written update to the Council today, on the implementation of Resolution 30/1 of 1st October 2015 and reconciliation and human rights related concerns in Sri Lanka.
