Minister Bathiudeen calls for peace and unity in Sri Lanka [PHOTOS]

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Leader of All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) and the Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen has called for a peaceful and a united approach to resolve unsettling conditions in Kandy District.

Minister Bathiudeen stated that from Monday morning (05), he continuously informed on the changing situation in Kandy District, and immediately contacted Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

“I have spoken to the Prime Minister and requested him for prompt action and I have been assured of speedy action on the safety of people, and their belongings,” the Minister said, adding “I thank Prime Minister for his prompt response. I join him in his call to the communities to work in unity to achieve peace and reconciliation, which is one of the key pillars of the way forward vision for Sri Lanka by our Unity Government.”
