Sri Lanka keen to strengthen cooperation with China on agriculture

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Sri Lankan Government says it is keen to strengthen cooperation with China in the field of agriculture, the Asia Pacific Focus website reported.

Minister of Agriculture, Duminda Dissanayake told a Chinese delegation that Sri Lanka is willing to learn from China’s achievements in agriculture.

The Minister had expressed these views when he met a delegation led by Wei Jianhua, Chairman of the Beijing Green Umbrella Chemical Co., Ltd., at the Minister’s official residence in Colombo, Ap-focus.com reported.

At the meeting both sides had in-depth discussions on how to promote cooperation between agricultural companies in the two countries.

At the meeting expressed the desire to accelerate the pace of developments in the field of agriculture in Sri Lanka.

Wei Jianhua said the Green Umbrella Company is willing to work together with agri-Industries in Sri Lanka.
