Hold referendum on new Constitution – TNA

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) on Thursday (06) urged the Government to hold a referendum and place the issue of the new Constitution before the people.

TNA Parliamentarian M. A. Sumanthiran, who came up with the suggestion in Parliament today, stated that the process to draft the new Constitution is of utmost importance and must continue.

He stressed that the public can decide through a referendum what is the best solution for Sri Lanka.
