Two suspects nabbed with hashish worth Rs. 2.1 million

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – On receipt of an intelligence tip-off to the Navy, Naval personnel attached to the Western Naval Command, during a raid carried out in coordination with Peliyagoda Police, nabbed two suspects with 3kg of hashish at the Ingurukade Junction, Colombo on Monday (19).

The consignment of hashish worth Rs. 2.1 million, were seized when the drug peddlers were smuggling them by means of a motorcycle.

The arrested suspects, motorcycle and the consignment of hashish were handed over to the Peliyagoda Police for onward legal action.
