3 nabbed for obstructing Army from conducting duties

(UTV | COLOMBO) -Three suspects have been arrested and remanded for obstructing Army personnel from carrying out their duties.

The Jaffna Magistrate’s Court ordered the three suspects to be remanded till tomorrow.

Police said a three-wheeler was stopped at a checkpoint in Kopai, on Saturday morning.

Police said three individuals travelling in the vehicle had physically pushed the Army officers and fled.

The suspects and the three-wheeler were later seized.

The suspects between the ages of 27 and 28 are residents of Jaffna.
