Japanese Expert Team submits report to minimize the disaster situations

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Japanese Expert Team who arrived in Sri Lanka for a technical study on the adverse weather condition which affected the island submitted their report to the Minister of Disaster Management Anura Priyadarshana Yaapa recently.

The 15 member team has also included several suggestions in their report to minimize the disaster situations.

Resettle the people living in vulnerable areas in other safe places, stabilizing such places, and proving necessary training to the people to immediately evacuate during disaster situations are some of the suggestions made by the Japanese Expert Team.
