Iranian aid convoy sent to flood-stricken Sri Lanka

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Iran’s humanitarian aid was dispatched to flood-stricken areas in Sri Lanka in cooperation with Iran’s mission in Colombo, the Iranian Embassy announced.

Iran’s aid cargo has been sent to Matara and Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple in Sri Lanka, the Embassy said.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Bahram Qassemi expressed condolences to the Government of Sri Lanka over deaths in floods and landslides in the South offered Iran’s sympathy for the loss of lives in the natural disaster.
