UTV | COLOMBO – Another 260 suspects have been arrested in special ongoing raids conducted in the Western Province.
The majority of suspects arrested in the 23-hour operation were taken into custody in possession of heroin, a total of 127 persons.
Meanwhile another 55 suspects were apprehended on charges of possession of cannabis, 59 in possession of illicit liquor, and 10 on charges of possession of goda and the narcotic methamphetamine.
Police noted that another 10 suspects were also taken into custody on various other charges as well.
