Sri Lanka Coast Guard gets  new chief

(UTV | COLOMBO) -Rear Admiral Pujitha Vithana has been appointed as Sri Lanka Coast Guard’s seventh Director General.

His appointment comes after his predecessor, Rear Admiral Anura Ekanayake, retired.

As a result, Rear Admiral Vithana received his letter of appointment from Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne on October 28 at the Defence Ministry.

Rear Admiral Vithana was the Deputy Director General of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard before being appointed DG.
