(UTV | COLOMBO) – Traffic movement on the Colombo-Avissawella Road between Wellampitiya and Kotikawatta will be restricted later today, October 1.
From 10 a.m. today, October 1, to 5 p.m. tomorrow, October 2, the section will be off-limits to vehicles, according to the police.
For a period of 19 hours starting at 10 p.m., police have issued a traffic plan for the people of Kotikawatta and Wellampitiya.
Vehicles can go through Gothatuwa Town, the Kotikawatta Junction, and in the direction of Avissawella to and from the Wellampitiya Junction to Kolonnawa.
The National Water Supply and Drainage Board is installing pipelines from Kaduwela to Orugodawatta, hence a specific traffic plan has been put in place.
