Rural bakeries shutdown due to increase in wheat flour prices

(UTV | COLOMBO) – All Ceylon Bakeries Owners Association says that a 50kg bundle of wheat flour has increased to Rs.21,000 in the local market.

The Chairman of All Ceylon Bakeries Owners Association N.K Jayawardena said that many bakeries in rural areas have closed down due to the existing situation.

Minister of Trade and Food Security Nalin Fernando said that the price of wheat flour will be reduced after the ordered wheat flour is received in the country.
