“Let the right one in” Trailer

(UTV | SWEDEN) – Showtime has premiered the first trailer for their TV version of Tomas Alfredson’s famed 2008 Swedish vampire film “Let the Right One In,” marking the second remake of the property following Matt Reeves’ 2010 film “Let Me In”.

Once again based on the John Ajvide Lindqvist novel, this one seems to put more focus on young girl vampire Eleanor (Baez) and her relationship with her haunted caretaker Mark (Demian Bichir). The little boy neighbor (Ian Foreman), who was the protagonist in the original, isn’t so much in this take.

The series is reportedly set ten years into her vampirism, and Eleanor is lonely which leads to a strained existence between father and child. Grace Gummer, Anika Noni Rose, Kevin Carroll and Jacob Buster also star.

“Penny Dreadful” writer Andrew Hinderaker showruns and executive produces along with “Blindspotting” director Seith Mann who helms. The series will debut on Showtime on October 7th.
