(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Ministry of Agriculture informs that the urea fertilizer provided to Sri Lanka as part of the Indian loan facility will be distributed from today.
The Ministry issuing a statement said the fertilizer was offloaded at the Colombo Port.
Chemical reports have been submitted from three foreign laboratories pertaining to the quality of the fertilizer.
The reports confirmed that the percentage of biuret in the fertilizer is less than 1%.
The Ministry said a standard certification was also obtained from the National Fertilizer Secretariat.
The Ministry said the fertilizer will be distributed through lorries which will be monitored through GPS technology.
