Private bus workers protest for fuel

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Private bus workers protested on Friday (17) morning obstructing the entrance to the Multimodal Transport Center in Kottawa demanding fuel for their buses.

They parked their buses blocking the entrance to the Multimodal Transport Center.

The Lanka Private Bus Owners Association told that the number buses in operation on Friday (17) was limited while passenger numbers have also dropped.

However, The Sri Lanka Transport Board announced that it would operate its entire fleet on Friday (17) for the convenience of passengers.

Sri Lanka Railways also noted that all office trains were in operation to accommodate passengers.
