(UTV | AUSTRALIA) – Margot Robbie is re-teaming with her “Bombshell” director Jay Roach for 1960s-set prequel to Steven Soderbergh’s all-star heist crime caper film “Ocean’s Eleven”.
That 2001 film, itself a remake of the 1960 Rat Pack classic, starred the likes of George Clooney and Brad Pitt. As this is set decades before, it means we could see younger versions of some of the older characters.
Carrie Solomon pens the script which is primarily set in Europe. Robbie, Roach, Michelle Graham and Tom Ackerly will produce.
Story details are under wraps but filming aims to begin in Spring 2023. Robbie is currently shooting Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” film.
