(UTV | INDIA) – Aamir, who is currently awaiting the release of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ in August, will be kick-starting the shooting of RS Prasanna’s sports drama in September. The film is inspired by the 2018 Spanish film, ‘Campeones’.
According to a report, Aamir wants to commence work on the film after the August release of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’.
Given the sports drama’s subject, it will be largely shot outdoors. The makers reportedly wanted to avoid filming in the city in the rains.
So, beginning September, it will be a two-month straight shoot. The report also added that for the first schedule, the set will be erected at a Mumbai studio.
The sports drama revolves around a temperamental basketball coach who, as part of his community service sentence, builds a team comprising the intellectually-disabled for the Special Olympics.
Meanwhile, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ also features Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya in key roles.
The movie is an official Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood movie, ‘Forrest Gump’. The original movie starred Tom Hanks in the lead role.
Apart from these, Aamir Khan is also planning to collaborate with Ranbir Kapoor in a two-hero project which is being helmed by Anurag Basu.
The makers are yet to make an official announcement on the same. Ranbir had a special cameo appearance in Aamir’s ‘PK’.
