Sajith receives threats

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The protest march organised by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya opposing the government, entered day four today.

The protest began from Danowita and will continue till Yakkala. Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa said the SJB will not join the formation of an interim government.

The MP further said there are conflicts within the government faction, while the President and the Prime Minister have their personal qualms.

MP Premadasa said the government that has many flaws are now inviting opposition political parties to form an interim government, and to address the flaws within their ranks.

MP Premadasa charged the government of attempting to buy over Members of Parliament for monetary gain, adding that SJB MPs are not for sale.

He also stated that he was threatened that he would lose his position as Opposition Leader if he fails to support the formation of an interim government.

The Opposition Leader stated he gained the people’s mandate adding he will willingly step down with the people’s blessings.
