Airline ticket prices on the rise

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Upul Dharmadasa, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CASL) has announced that all airlines operating flights to Sri Lanka have increased their ticket fares by 27% from 12.01 am on March 03rd 2022.

The reason for this is the devaluation of the Lankan Rupee after the currency was floated. The Rupee was trading at LKR 260 against the US Dollar.
