1.1 million Pfizer doses imported for booster shot

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Another stock of 1,147,770 Pfizer vaccines arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport this morning.

The consignment has been imported to Sri Lanka to inoculate the public with the booster dose.

The consignment weighing 4,485 Kgs and packed in 137 boxes were first flown to the Netherlands from USA and later to Sri Lanka via the UAE.

The stocks will be transported to the central storage unit of the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation of Sri Lanka in Colombo, via special freezer trucks made for this purpose.
