Police warns of counterfeit notes

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka Police have urged the people to remain vigilant over the circulation of counterfeit notes, especially during the upcoming festive season.

“People should pay special attention to identify the validity of currency notes, by using the watermark, the security thread and the color and thickness of the note, when making money transactions,” Police Spokesperson Attorney-at-Law SSP Nihal Thalduwa emphasized.
