Committee to be appointed to probe the incidents in Parliament

(UTV | COLOMBO) – A committee will be appointed comprising senior MPs, to look into the incidents reported in the Parliament complex on Friday and Saturday, the Speaker stated.

The problem arose due to the obstruction by MP Manusha Nanayakkara in his comments during the budget debates last Friday and Saturday.

Members of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya stated that a group from the ruling party had tried to attack Manusha Nanayakkara.

As a result, the SJB MPs took action to leave Parliament on Saturday.
