(UTV | INDIA) – A total of 11,971 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, which brings the total recoveries to 3,38,61,756.
India saw a major decline in Covid-19 cases on Tuesday with 8,865 new cases in the last 24 hours, lowest in 287 days. The fresh cases reported today are 13.3% lower than yesterday. The fresh count brings India’s total caseload to 3,44,56,401.The top five states which have registered maximum cases are “Kerala with 4,547 cases”, followed by “Tamil Nadu with 802 cases”, “West Bengal with 782 cases”,” Maharashtra with 686 cases” and “Mizoram with 611 cases”. These five states have reported 83.79% of the new cases with Kerala alone responsible for 51.29% of the new cases.
As many as 197 people succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours taking the total death toll to 4,63,852. Maximum casualties were reported in Kerala where 127 people lost their lives, followed by Maharashtra with 19 daily deaths. A total of 11,971 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, which brings the total recoveries to 3,38,61,756 across the country. With this, India’s recovery rate now stands at 98.27%. Active Covid-19 cases declined by 3,303 in the last 24 hours and India’s active caseload stands at 1,30,793. A total of 59,75,469 doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours which brings the total tally of doses administered to 1,12,97,84,045. A total of 11,07,617 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
