(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Four-nation football tournament for the Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa Cup will get underway in Colombo today.
The tournament will be worked-off at the Racecourse Grounds in Colombo with the participation of Bangladesh, Seychelles, the Maldives and hosts Sri Lanka.
President of the Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will attend today’s opening ceremony.
The tournament organised by the Football Federation of Sri Lanka will be worked-off while adhering to health guidelines.
Stadiums will be allowed to accommodate 50 percent of its capacity and tickets will be issued at the entrance. Spectators are required to produce the vaccination cards to purchase tickets.
The opening game of the tournament will be between Bangladesh and Seychelles at 4pm while the day’s second game will see hosts Sri Lanka taking on the Maldives from 9pm.
