(UTV | COLOMBO) – Actor Ryan Reynolds has announced he is taking a “little sabbatical from movie making” following the wrap of production on the Apple TV+ holiday movie “Spirited” co-starring Will Ferrell.
Reynolds explained his decision on Instagram on Saturday to share that he had completed work on “Spirited” and called it one of the most “challenging” films he’s ever done. He then says:
“Perfect time for a little sabbatical from movie making. I’m gonna miss every second working with this obscenely gifted group of creators and artists. These days, kindness matters as much as talent. I’ve been lucky to work with folks who are flush with both.”
Reynolds’ wife Blake Lively left the comment “Michael Caine did it first” on the post. Lively is referring to the reports this past week that Caine was retiring from acting – reports his agent quickly shot down.
“Spirited” is dubbed a reimagining of Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” with Reynolds as the Ebenezer Scrooge figure.
