(UTV | COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka’s Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila says that fuel prices will have to be increased if the Finance Ministry does not provide relief/price concessions.
He made this comment during a media briefing in Colombo today (13).
The Minister said Lanka IOC had requested to increased the price of a litre of Petrol and Diesel by by Rs. 15/- and Rs. 25/- respectively.
He said the CPC had also requested a price hike as well.
The minister said these requests are being considered and a final decision is yet to be reached.
It was earlier reported that the Cabinet of ministers has decided not to implement an immediate fuel price hike.
