(UTV | COLOMBO) – Colombo High Court Judge Amal Ranaraja today ordered the Welikada Superintendent of Prisons to produce former Western Province Governor Azath Salley, who was arrested under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, before Court on the 25th of October.
The order was issued when the motion filed by Azath Salley seeking his release was taken up today.
The Attorney General filed charges against Azath Salley under the PTA, over a statement he made at a media briefing on the 9th of March, that could incite racism and separatism.
