NMRA missing files: Data operator remanded

(UTV | COLOMBO) – A data operator of a private company has been further remanded over the disappearance of files from the National Medicines Regulatory Authority database, till the 18th of October.

Request for bail was rejected by the Colombo Chief Magistrate Buddhika Sri Ragala.

The individual was attached to the company that set up the database for the NMRA. was arrested under provisions of the Computer Crimes Act and Public Properties Act.

The CID is continuing investigations into the missing data of the NMRA database.
