(UTV | COLOMBO) – Filming has reportedly begun on a third season of “The Mandalorian” on the Disney+ service according to Bespin Bulletin (via Movieweb)
No official announcements have been made by Disney at this time, but the site indicates filming kicked off last week with plans to shoot through late March.
Pedro Pascal is reportedly not on location to shoot any scenes as Din Djarin this season, not surprising as the actor has been filming HBO’s “The Last of Us” series since July and is expected to continue doing so until well into the first half of next year.
Previous seasons utilised stand-in performers in the titular outfit when Pascal was unable to make it to set. He will likely record his voice work at a later time.
Filming on the second season kicked off in October 2019 for an October 2020 airing. Thus it’s likely this third season won’t be getting to air until Fall 2022.
