Chinese projects augment poor class misery in Phnom Penh

(UTV | CAMBODIA) – Since China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in Cambodia has been launched in 2013 up until 2017 Poor Class numbers in Phnom Penh have increased as a result of Chinese investments in the city, represented in buying plots of land from locals and converting them into huge housing projects, which led to lose lands that used to be rice fields and a source of income for Cambodians.
