(UTV | COLOMBO) – A program implemented to categorize those undergoing treatment at home for COVID-19 in the Western Province and to admit them to hospitals according to the requirements.
The new process will be implemented from today (19) in the Western Province.
To initiate the process, an SMS containing the below details regarding COVID patients must be sent to 1904
The details received by SMS will be forwarded to the medical team to take proper action by the National Operation Centre for the Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak.
After the information sent by patients is categorized, the patients would be contacted via number 247 to be directed to COVID treatment centres. (Facilities will be provided, including ambulances)
A medical team via the number 1390 will be in contact with the patients who are directed for home-based care to ensure the health safety.
