Meeting between PM & Govt party MPs to be held today

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa is scheduled to hold a discussion with ruling party MPs today (02).

Sources stated that MPs will be briefed on the controversial Kotelawala Defense University Bill at the discussion to be held at Temple Trees.

Several government parties have already protested against the bill.

Meanwhile, a special workshop has been organized in Parliament tomorro(03) to make the Members of Parliament aware of this Bill.

The second day of the debate on the bill is scheduled to take place in Parliament next Friday and the government has decided to get the relevant bill passed on that day.
