(UTV | COLOMBO) – The trade union action which was initiated by 14 teachers’ unions based on several demands continued for the 15th consecutive day today.
The teachers’ unions stated that the strike will continue until their salary anomalies are resolved.
Today, the teachers have decided to withdraw from the training activities conducted before the aesthetic practical examinations of the GCE Ordinary Level Examination.
However, the Education Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris stated at a media briefing held in Colombo today that the relevant cabinet paper regarding the salary anomalies of teacher principals will be presented to the Cabinet this afternoon.
