Several sites reopened for foreign tourists

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Several sites have now been reopened for foreign tourists, the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority said.

This includes the Temple of the Sacred Tooth, Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, Yala National Park, Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage (from 1st August), Ridiyagama Safari Park, Horton Plains National Park, Minneriya National Park, Mirissa and Sinharaja.

Mahen Kariyawasam, the immediate past president of the Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) had said earlier that wildlife parks and other attractions must be opened.

Subsequently the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority has informed the stakeholders that several sites have now been opened for visitors.
