Jack Huston to lead new “Monte Cristo”

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Jack Huston (“Fargo,” “Boardwalk Empire”) is set to play the latest incarnation of Alexandre Dumas’ novel “The Count of Monte Cristo” at Constantin Film.

Huston will play Nicolas Cristo, a man broken who was betrayed and locked away for over a decade. Now he’s fighting to bring justice to a world even more cruel and corrupt than the one that was taken from him.

The difference with this outing is the story will be set in Asia and the U.S. and has “Into The Badlands” and “Wu Assassins” director Stephen Fung on board to helm and executive produce.

Huston recently wrapped production on Ridley Scott’s “House of Gucci” and was recently set as the male lead in Amazon drama series “Expats”.
