Deceased COVID-patient’s 14 associates test positive

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Fourteen persons, including the wife and relatives of a person who died of COVID-19, have tested positive for the Virus, the State-run Daily News quoted the sources of Medical Officer of Health (MOH) in Akmeemana.

Following the death of the respective COVID-infected person at Lunuwilawatta in Akmeemana, the associates including his family members had been referred for quarantine.

After about 10-days, 14 out of the deceased’s person’s 18 associates and family members who had been subjected to PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) Tests were confirmed to be COVID-19 positive, the MOH Office further disclosed.
