Teller replaces Hammer on “The Offer”

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Miles Teller (“Divergent,” “Whiplash”) will play producer Al Ruddy in the ten-episode series “The Offer” about the making of “The Godfather” for the Paramount+ service.

Teller takes over the role from Armie Hammer, who exited the show in late January amid multiple allegations of sexual misconduct.

Teller will also serve as an executive producer of the series which details the making of Francis Ford Coppola’s classic film through the eyes of producer Ruddy.

Nikki Toscano (“Hunters”) and Michael Tolkin (“The Player”) are writing and executive producing with Toscano serving as showrunner.

The project is not to be confused with Barry Levinson’s “Francis and the Godfather,” a new film about the making of the classic film which has Oscar Isaac starring as Coppola and Jake Gyllenhaal as producer Robert Evans.

Teller will next be seen alongside Tom Cruise in “Top Gun: Maverick” and Chris Hemsworth in “Escape From Spiderhead”.
