All economic centres closed during travel restriction period

(UTV | COLOMBO) – All economic centres across the country to remain closed during the island-wide travel restrictions are in effect, the Ministry of Agriculture stated today (19).

Accordingly, operations at economic centres decided to be halted on 21 – 24 May and again on 26 to 28 May.

However, all economic centres as well as the Manning Market in Peliyagoda will be reopened by 4.00 AM on 25 May.

Thereby, Districts Secretaries will be issuing permits for vehicles to transport fruits and vegetables to these establishments on 24 and 25 May.
