“If I am guilty, give me the death penalty” – Rishad [VIDEO]

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Strongly denying the allegations levelled against him in his address to Parliament today (18), the Leader of the All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) Rishad Bathiudeen said that he had nothing to do with the terrorist attacks on Easter Sunday and asked for the death penalty if he found guilty.

“If I am guilty, give me the death penalty,” the former Minister said.

He pointed out that there was no justification for his arrest and strongly denied the allegations made against him as being politically motivated.

The Parliamentarian and his brother Riyaj Bathiudeen were detained by the CID under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) on early Saturday morning of 24 April.
