“Starfield” Going PC and Xbox exclusive

(UTV | COLOMBO) – It was inevitable and now it looks like it may finally be happening with the highly anticipated Bethesda title “Starfield” reportedly set to be exclusive to Xbox and PC.

Venture Beat reporter Jeff Grubb says: “Starfield is exclusive to Xbox and PC. Period. This is me confirming that.” Microsoft hasn’t released any next-gen exclusives so far, but its acquisition of Bethesda is seen as a big step in trying to change that.

Bethesda has basically pitched the game as a sci-fi equivalent of “Skyrim” and while first revealed back in 2018, there’s been little update since though could now well be positioned as a system seller.

The original Xbox launched in November 2001, and in the lead-up to that, Microsoft has announced plans for a ’20 Years of Xbox’ celebration. The post announcing the anniversary says no event is planned as such, rather a promise of more announcements throughout the year – with some big ones expected at E3 next month including a potential “Starfield” reveal.
