Vaccination continuing despite travel restrictions

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Police say persons required to attend the vaccination programme during the period of travel restrictions can do so without a permit..

Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said supermarkets and other stores can also notify Officers-in-Charge of respective Police stations and deliver essential items.

He said those part of essential services including health, water, electricity, communication, media, ports and airports, private security services, fuel, food, medicine and animal produce can produce their identification and travel to workplaces.

The DIG noted persons will be allowed to travel to the airport during this time as well.
