(UTV | COLOMBO) – Daily movements will be permitted from tomorrow (13) till 31 May based only on the approved last digits of the National Identity Card (NIC) numbers of the day, the Police stated.
Individuals leaving their homes for reasons other than for employment, must produce their NIC to the Police.
Accordingly, on odd dates of the calendar, individuals with the NIC number, driving licence or passport ending with 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 permit to leave their homes while those with the numbers 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 permit to leave their homes on even dates.
