Krasinski sets first look deal at Paramount

(UTV | COLOMBO) – John Krasinski and his Sunday Night production company have closed a first-look deal with Paramount Pictures.

The signing comes a few days after reports indicated that Krasinski and wife Emily Blunt were upset over “A Quiet Place Part II” being fast-tracked to the Paramount+ service 45 days after its upcoming theatrical release on May 28th.

That dispute has potentially been resolved either way and this release reads as a public statement of confidence and commitment on behalf of both parties.

The next film to be made under the new deal will be an untitled feature to be written and directed by Krasinski and starring both him and Ryan Reynolds.

Reynolds’ production company Maximum Effort also inked a first-look deal with Paramount recently. That film has been set for a November 17th 2023 release.
