(UTV | COLOMBO) – Kandy and Matara are among the areas isolated in Sri Lanka to contain the spread of the 3rd wave of the COVID-19.
The Government has also lifted the isolation status imposed on the Nikadalupotha Grama Niladhari (GN) Division in the Kumbukgete Police area in the Kurunegala District.
Accordingly, the selected areas in the Kandy, Matale, Matara, and Puttalam Districts have been isolated from today (11).
In the Kandy District, the Kosgasthenna and Thibbutta Villages in the Walgampaya GN Division have been isolated, and the Uyanwatta GN Division and the Uyanwatta North GN Division in the Matara District and the Uda Hapuvida GN Division in the Matale District, along with the Meda Kirimetiyana GN Division in the Puttalam District have also been isolated.
